Once a full-time pro. I returned to the old day job a while ago intending to return to pro. nearly full-time in June/July 2014. Gradually getting back to full-time. I have now completely left the day job and am slowly returning to only working at photography. I have a small income, though, so am not pressured into shooting when I do not want to.
I used to specialise in medical forensic and table-top. A change in the law (much needed) knocked the bottom out of the market for my medical work. There are far fewer cow-boys doing plastic surgery, now. For the past few years I have concentrated on fine-art prints to the collectors' market. That is the main area I wish to expand later this year. Also fine-art nudes for the library stock market.
I do not have a studio but am well equipped as a fit-up studio worker and am a keyholderfor a friend's studio. Otherwise I use hotel rooms, church halls and the like.
I am a strong believer in mutual back scratching and co-operative attitudes. So if you have a business proposition that you think others may not go for, you may be pleasantly surprised at my response.
I do shoot some pretty strong stuff, so if you do not want to associated with a 'vile and evil' pornographer, perhaps you should not work with me! I have not actually killed and eaten a model for, well ages really. Though I am not a vegan by a long chalk.
You will find a lot of positive references on certain other sites. That does not mean I only abuse Mad Cow models. It means I have not been very active on here. Mad Cow models will be treated with the same boring, fawning respect and decency I apply to all my models. Models without a sense of humour should perhaps not apply.

I rarely reply to unsolicited shoot requests.

The bit you should read but probably won't but it is here anyway so I can be a patronising old git about it later on!


SHOOT RULES

1. No-one does anything they are not happy to do.

2. I am allowed to ask.

3. You are allowed to say, "no".

4. I am not allowed to sulk.

5. You agree that no photographs of mine will appear in Nuts or Zoo or any of the other little boys' comics. If they do it will be without permission and you will be invoiced.

6. You agree that no photographs of mine will appear in Suicide Girls. If they do it will be without permission and you will be invoiced.

7. I do not photograph breast enhancements. If you get implants between the time of booking and the shoot I WILL send you away without pay or travel expenses and I WILL invoice you for out of pocket expenses and my time. If I have approached you for a shoot and your folio shows that you have enhancements, you can assume that I am happy to break that rule for you. I am probably doing that because you have particularly interesting tattoos or summat.

8. You will abide by the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988.

9. No smoking in the studio.

10. No texting or chatting on the mobile during the actual shooting.

11. Refreshments will be provided by me and reasonable breaks will be given.

12. Everyone should have fun.

Chaperons

I prefer to work without chaperons. They spoil the dynamic. SOME chaperons have been known to seriously upset a shoot, to behave unacceptably in the photographer's premises and even to take the opportunity to steal.

If you feel you must have a chaperon I will accept that BUT will hold YOU responsible for your chaperon's behaviour.

I prefer the chaperon to be your sister, friend or mum.... Not your boyfriend or husband. See comments about dynamics. Male chaperons will NOT be admitted to girl/girl shoots.

If it must be your boyfriend then I will accept that but remember the comments above.

If a chaperon disrupts a shoot I will cancel the shoot and only pay for the proportion that has been completed.

I know this sounds harsh but for every model who has had a bad experience on a shoot, there is a photographer who has had a bad experience with a chaperon.



I ABSOLUTELY ACCEPT THAT MOST CHAPERONS ARE LOVELY PEOPLE AND SOME ARE AN ASSET TO THE SHOOT WITH HELPING AND MAKING TEA AND STUFF.
