Carney Malone lives in a circle of Hell Dante neglected to visit.
Carney lives in a decrepit house in a boring town in the depressing Hudson Valley. Now retired, He was a farmer, garbage man, waiter, dish washer, computer programmer, civil servant and college teacher.
Carney started shooting nudes in 2010.
He uses nude photography to explore concepts and relationships. Carney has devoted a large part of his work to exploring the concept of Narcissism. Too, Carney is intrigued by the relationship of facial expressions to body language.
Carney admires the photographic work of Andre Kertesz, Peter Basch, Eadweard Muybridge, Albert Arthur Allen, William Cheney Johnston, Man Ray, Robert Mapplethrope and, above all, Helmut Newton.
He holds in high esteem Rudolf Kartelin, John Peri, Jan Saudek and Heiko Thiele among contemporary photographers.
Carney admires the artistic work of Don Martin, Bruno Schulz, Rene Magritte, Marcel Duchamp and Salvatore Dali.
He has published a number of books with Blurb and Create Space.
Carney, at present, is working on two books: F 4 Fetish; and Stockings , Shoes and Nudes .
